The IT team is absolutely critical to the success of EA. To build world class games, it is vital to ensure that EA technology is not only stable but is on the cutting edge. There are a variety of different roles within IT Support, and each comes with its own set of requirements, expectations, and responsibilities. Roles include Desktop Support Manager; Desktop Support Technician/Technical Support; Infrastructure Support Manager; IT Director; IT Technician Systems Administrator.
Enterprise Service Operations, Services Line is a Global IT Team that leverages IT technical leadership, business understanding and partner relationships to implement and support IT solutions (Oracle ERP, Demantra, Hyperion Financial Management, Financial Planning, TMS, and WMS) and services for EA business partners and functions, to help them realize their business goals and objectives.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sourcing Office Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for the day to day operations and functions of the Sourcing Office as well as the effective reporting of relationships and performance of external IT service providers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Role Description:
- Initiate and lead RFPs for service provisioning and project execution
- Manage the execution of Sourcing Projects
- Participate in identifying high value relationships with existing external partners and define the approach and means to extract addition value from existing relationships
- Track and report performance metrics of top Vendors to Global IT Leadership
- Track and report performance metrics for the SMO to Global IT Leadership
- Organize and facilitate external Partners Periodic reviews (Executive & Operational)
- Develop and deliver SMO communication materials, visual aids, etc….
- Maintain SMO issues, actions and escalations
- Create and update SMO Processes, RACI matrices and Documentation
- Capture, track and respond to demand signals (on-going and during planning cycles)
- Work with external partners and internal EA partners on resolving operational issues
- Work with the external partners to insure the recruitment development and maintenance of the right experience and skilled capabilities
- Assist with issues escalations through external partners organizational hierarchy
- Participate in Sourcing strategy development and implementation
- Manage SMO calendar
- Participate in Contract Negotiations
- Collaborate with IT Service Owners, EA Global Procurement, and EA Legal, the development, review and negotiation of various Services agreements
- Keep up with industry trends on Sourcing trends and technologies
- Drive continuous improvement in conjunction with global IT of the - Applications platform/systems; includes development of application roadmaps, standardization of business processes, etc …
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BS Computer Science, Management Information Systems or other related I.T Degree equivalent qualification
- Senior level management experience in managing IT Service Delivery and/or Operations
- Senior level experience in managing IT programs and projects with large scale impact
- Experience operating in a heavily outsourced environment, managing 3rd parties service providers, or delivering outsourced services
- Budgetary experience of $4m+
- Executive level communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high volume, deadline-driven environment
- Ability to balance multiple demands and work both independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism in dealing with all levels of management and staff
- Ability to plan and deliver cost effective results
- Excellent organizational and operations skills
- Experience working with offshore / near shore providers is a plus
- Willing to travel as and when required
