GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
This hands-on position provides technical leadership for a team involved in the development of upcoming major projects. The technical lead will specify, design and implement server and client-based technologies. The candidate is expected to have a sound understanding of the software development life cycle and possess good insight into design patterns and designing applications using an OOPS. This person will be responsible for creating and reviewing functional specifications, design documents and technical specifications, and also design implementation. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills. The position interacts with Product Management and all Engineering development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Write Voice Applications functional and design specifications.
Design and implement Voice applications.
Manage off shore development of Voice Applications functionality.
Work with Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to validate the correct implementation of systems and applications.
Interact with project management, other engineering teams, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Required:
At least 1 year experience in a technical lead role.
At least 4 years experience working as a senior software engineer.
Experience managing offshore development.
Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and SQA/SCM (Software Configuration Management) tools.
Demonstrated ability to produce functional and design specifications with minimal supervision, and attend meetings answering technical questions regarding specifications.
Demonstrated ability to manage software interfaces and other inter-system dependencies.
Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns, frameworks, and tools.
Java/J2EE language programming on Unix/Linux operating systems.
Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal, and writing).
Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal supervision.
Recent experience designing telephony applications
Experience in high-performance application development.
Experience building distributed and highly available solutions.
Desired:
A good understanding of secure software development practices.
Knowledge of Linux administration, configuration, and security.
Experience in security, including security of networks, servers, and VoIP systems.
Experience with the MySQL database, database access controls, and secure data replication over SSL.
Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.
Knowledge of the SIP protocol
Experience with LAMP technologies.
Fluency in XML.
Experience developing on WebLogic/OCCAS
REQUIRED EDUCATION :
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is required.
Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Candidate need to have EAD/Green card/ US citizenship to work either on 1099 basis or on our W2 only,
Candidates who are currently in H1B if willing to get transfer their H1B to our company, then we can consider H1B's also.
Location :Charlotte – North Carolina / New York (Candidate has to be in US currently)
